Pharmacy Assistant Program Summary

Emphasis in the Pharmacy Assistant program is placed on the hands-on skill that is necessary to be qualified for employment in the field. Students enrolled in the pharmacy assisting programs at Trillium College will learn the technical and clerical aspects of assisting both a pharmacist, and a pharmacy technician. Responsibilities will include customer service, inventory control using pharmacy equipment, preparation of medications for dispensing, compounding and purchasing.

Employment Opportunities

Graduates will be qualified to work as Pharmacy Assistants in hospitals, institutional and retail environments. With a Pharmacist Assistant diploma, students will discover the need and importance of being of able assistance to hospitals, doctors’ offices, and specialist clinics.
