Renovator Technician
Certificate Program (52 weeks)
Program Summary
The Renovator Technician program is an intensive 12 month certificate program uniquely designed to address the growing demand for qualified renovators as well as the demand for environmentally sensitive contractors and professionals. Students will learn, via the classroom and through hands on practical application, building renovation skills, trim carpentry techniques, design and new product/materials applications. Business, marketing and construction law will be key elements to master for those interested in starting and running a renovation or general contracting business.
Employment Opportunities
Graduates may find employment in many areas of the residential and commercial renovation and construction field. Opportunities include residential renovation, accessible retrofitting, general contracting, trim carpentry, general carpentry, commercial project management, builder or wholesale estimating and home inspections. Some graduates may wish self-employment in any one of these areas.
