Community Service Worker Program Summary

This program, one of the Social Science Programs at Trillium College, has been designed to provide graduates with the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to administer and implement a variety of community-based programs. Students will develop skills in client assessment, proper referral procedure, and monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of client treatment.

Employment Opportunities

Graduates with a Community Service Worker diploma have a wide range of options when deciding where to apply their training in the community service worker field. Some options to consider include as an Addictions Worker, Group Home Support Worker, Community Service Worker, as well as in Women's shelters, Correctional facilities, or as a Youth Worker & Women's Centre Coordinator.
